FS1445 Early Rag Doll $149.
She is a sweetie. I purchased her from a couple I met in southern Delaware. They retired and moved to a small house. They had been collectors for over 40 years and they needed to downsize their collections. This wonderful doll has a most pleasant face, such a happy girl. She has an early bead for an eye, one is missing. She has a handstitched face. Her body appears to be made from two different stockings. Her dress, apron and pantaloons are original to her, and are also handsewn. The apron fabric has split from age. Her cotton dress has a lace neckline and lace around the sleeves. Her pantaloons have a crocheted edge done in cream and navy, very sweet. There is a label sewn on the hem of the dress that says, Anne Linton Camp Wahtaysee. Could she have been taken to camp by a young girl? I wish so much I knew the history of this doll and who Anne Linton was. I have research this but have not found any information. Probably from the 1930's. She is a wonderful early doll and would certainly be a great addition to any early doll collection. She is 18 inches tall and hard stuffed in the body with softer arms and legs. $149. Includes shipping.
